FAQ

What was CARES?
A:Scarborough CARES was a mobile digital arts program that brought creative after-school programming and digital media literacy to schools in Scarborough, Ontario from 2007 – 2012. Each 8 week (16 sessions) workshop taught a wide range of skills and showed students how to combine them into a finished product.

Through photography, design, music, storytelling and so much more, CARES gave students an opportunity to enrich their understanding of technology, build collaborative skills and develop creative self-expression through mediums relevant to their future.

Due to the completion of funding, the Scarborough CARES concluded operation in 2012. Over the course of the program, CARES involved over 600 children at 20 schools and community agencies.
