We strongly believe that equal and fair access to public agencies is better achieved when we can all cohesively approach social issues with compassion and generosity.

In a whole sea of efforts to make this world a more equitable place, why not contribute a simple drop, if that is all you can give? After all, it is the small acts which bind together to then shake the world.

We are making noise with our social change initiatives, and plan to only get louder. If you can hear the rumble of transformation happening beneath your feet, join us in the cause. Let's make some noise!

We believe that one good deed can work like the butterfly effect, and has the possibility of expanding from one simple kind act, to a whole entire movement. What movement will YOU lead today?

Scarborough Cares Community Network

Scarborough Cares Community Network Inc. is a non-profit organization that promotes equity in education and employment for the visible minority, as well as the racially marginalized communities of Ontario. Additionally, some of our virtual initiatives have impacted all Canadians both within and outside of Ontario.

We are proud contributors to a more socially equitable community, and believe that fairness, equality, and justice should remain the pillars of public policies and all institutions which concern and effect the people. Our initiatives are built on these values as a foundation, and we invite you to join us in ensuring we create a more equitable society for marginalized communities.

We believe that the responsibility of maintaining the balance of the fundamental right to equity in education, employment, and social structures is on EVERYONE. It is a collective umbrella initiative with so many more layers of projects and programs, which require support from YOU.

Support us in whatever way you can, as no act of kindness and generosity is too small.

A non-profit organization like ours depends heavily on your generous contributions. Contact us today if you'd like to help us with your time or donations.

#EquityInEducation

Visible minority communities in multiculturally thriving regions like the GTA, can face hardships and barriers when seeking opportunities in education, and as result go on to face unfair and undue interferences in their employment opportunities as well.

Factors such as financial inequity, social isolation, and cultural and language barriers create for unfair accessibility to education within minority and new immigrant populations. When those factors are considered and worked with rather than against, messaging, knowledge, and education infiltrates those barriers and gets through to the communities in their own ways.

Scarborough Cares Community Network fiercely believes that social and cultural barriers should not define the quality of access to education which every individual should have. We initiate educational programs for minority communities and new immigrants, and use delivery methods which are easily accessible free of charge, and continue to offer them in as many languages as possible. We are constantly seeking meaningful partnerships with educational institutions, government agencies, and private corporations to promote our programs and help us continue to educate, and give access to education, to the visible minority communities in and around the GTA.

#EquityInEmployment

New Canadians who identify with minority communities in the GTA face the undeniable obstacles of unemployment. The same factors which effect fair access to education such as financial inequity, social isolation, and cultural and language barriers, act as a catalyst for unemployment.

Scarborough Cares Community Network partners with hundreds of employers in order to constantly and actively seek quality employment opportunities for new Canadians. We strive to bridge the gap and connect community members to opportunities which grants them access to the Canadian workforce we are so proud of.

We regularly conduct seminars in disadvantaged communities across Scarborough, to educate and enhance an individual's employability, allow them access to information regarding job searches, and help familiarize them with Canadian work culture and what they can expect.

#ActionForEquity

Actions speak louder than words; especially so in the world of activism and change. We practice what we preach and focus heavily on our ongoing initiatives to offer our communities with the information, resources, and tools they may need to prosper as minorities in the fabric of our society.

We step up to be the collective voice of those without one, and curate programs which are current and relevant to today's minority communities and the obstacles they may be facing at present.

#ActivismAndSocialEquity

Scarborough Cares Community Network Inc. takes a strong stance when it comes to racism, poverty, and inequity in educational and employment opportunities. We are vigilant and vocal in our fight against them, and constantly strive to do our part in eradicating these issues, which act as nothing more than divisive obstacles in our greater and collective growth.

We are proud contributors to a more socially equitable community, and believe that fairness, equality, and justice should remain the pillars of public policies and all institutions which concern and effect the people. We will continue our mission with those values at our core, aspiring to have people like YOU join us along the way in our duty to make equal opportunities for all.
